The Samsung B7330 OmniaPro Utilises A Qwerty Keyboard For Efficient Text Entry

Since its release in November 2009, the Samsung B7330 OmniaPro has proven to be a popular handset. It is easy to see why, given its spec list and array of features.

Measuring 114.9x59x10.8mm, the B7330 OmniaPro weighs in at 107 grams. The slim line profile and light weight make it a comfortable phone to hold and use. The 2.62 inch TFT screen is capable of displaying 65,000 colours within 320x320 pixels for great display of on screen content. For efficient text entry, a full QWERTY keyboard dominates the front of the handset, appealing to users who may not be fans of touch screen mobiles.

Downloadable polyphonic ringtones and the ability to set MP3 files as ringtones offer users the chance to customise their handsets. These functions alert of incoming calls and voice messages in conjunction with ringing.

270MB of internal storage is provided as standard with the B7330 OmniaPro. This provides storage for a decent amount of data such as music tracks; however more can be attained by utilizing the micro SD slot, whereby a memory card of up to 32 GB can be installed. The phonebook can store a practically unlimited number of entries, and includes the popular photo call feature.



Several connectivity options keep the phone connected. Class 10 EDGE and GPRS are the initial means of network connectivity in areas with little or no 3G coverage. In areas with 3G, HSDPA is available at speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, and HSUPA at 2Mbps. Wi-Fi connectivity allows a faster internet connection to be attained by harnessing the signal given off by wireless internet routers in domestic or commercial locations. For sharing files with friends free of charge, Bluetooth v2.0 is installed as standard. To connect the Samsung B7330 OmniaPro to a computer, a USB (v2.0) connection is provided.

A 3.15 mega pixel digital camera (2048x1536 pixel resolution) provides a method of good quality image capture. This includes the autofocus feature, and geo-tagging, whereby the location a photo was taken can be tagged. As an alternative to taking still images, the camera can also shoot QVGA quality video at a rate of 20 frames per second.

The operating system of choice for the Samsung B7330 OmniaPro is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard. Coupled with a 528MHx processor, this provides a dynamic, speedy user experience.


Most of the common music and video file formats are supported by the media player, whilst additional entertainment options include a selection of games and a stereo FM radio player with RDS.

Windows Live, Yahoo! and AOL all have applications allowing direct access to the sites, so users can carry out tasks such as check emails and chat with friends on the go.
