Since its release in Feb 2010, the Nokia X6 16 GB has been released in several colour variants. This includes the stylish Black version. With the same specs as the rest of the range, the black colour scheme offers added aesthetic appeal to the range.

The handset itself is relatively slim line and light weight making it a comfortable phone to hold and use on the move. The TFT capacitive touch screen measures 3.2 inches and utilises pixels at 360x640 to display 16 million colours for high quality display of on screen images. Manufactured from scratch-resistant glass, the screen also features an accelerometer sensor for viewing the screen in both portrait and landscape orientations.

Vibration and MP3 ringtones alert users to incoming calls and messages. For hands free talking, a 3.5mm audio jack accommodates hands free headsets, and a speakerphone with stereo speakers offers superb sound quality.

As suggested by the name of the phone, 16 GB of internal storage is provided, allowing plenty of room for data such as music, video and picture files.

The Nokia X6 16GB Black utilises several means of connectivity so it stays connected in all but the most isolated of locations. Class 32 EDGE and GPRS provide initial means of connecting to networks. However, in areas covered by 3G, HSDPA is available at speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Wi-Fi connectivity allows for a faster connection to the internet, by taking advantage of the signal provided by local wireless internet routers. For a free and convenient method of file sharing with local compatible handsets, Bluetooth v2.0 is installed as standard. Finally, micro USB (v2.0) finishes the list of connectivity features. This allows the phone to be connected to a computer so that users can carry out tasks such as backing up contact info or transferring media files.

A digital camera offering an impressive 5MP (2592x1944) provides a means of taking high quality photographs, and this task is simplified by features such as autofocus and dual LED flash. It also features the ability to shoot video as an alternative to taking still images, and this is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.

Most common formats of both music and video files are supported by the media player. Additional entertainment applications include stereo FM radio player and several pre-installed and downloadable games.
