With the enhancement and progress of telecommunication technology, there is bound to be newer, better cell phones which offer a better user experience for the end user. One of the most important aspects that decide the user experience is the operating system that is used by the cell phone. Just a few years most cell phones ran on simple Java or Flash and did not have any operating systems at all. However, as the mobile market became smarter and gained maturity, various operating systems made their mark - the latest amongst them being the Android operating system.

The Android operating system is supposed to be one of the most advanced mobile operating systems in the world, and there are several cell phones that run the Android Operating System today - one of them being the Milestone, the Motorola Android phone. Here is a quick look through of the various features of this Motorola mobile phone.

Form factor:

The Motorola Milestone comes in a rugged, square candy bar form with a slider keyboard that offers full QWERTY capabilities. And of course, because of the entire keypad hidden under the screen, you get one of the largest displays in the given price range. The nicely thought through form factor gives us a 3.7" screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Also, this phone is said to be the slimmest side slider with the full QWERTY keyboard at present.

Features:

Speaking of the features, there are few phones that run the Android and offer these many features right of the bat. This is a Quadband GSM phone with dual 3G support; it also supports HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. And the Android OS is one of those that support pinch zooming and kinetic scrolling- something that will be welcomed by the ones who are the new busy. It also offers a 5 MP camera with dual LED flash and geotagging. This is one expensive phone that has understood what a mobile camera actually means, but it does hamper the savory with a limited camera options and a clumsy camera interface.

What it doesn't have:

No phone can be the perfect phone, and one has to forgo something to achieve everything. This phone lacks radio, doesn't have flash support for websites, so there goes your YouTube viewing and does not provide DivX or XviD video playback. If you are okay with these aspects not present in your cell phone, this is a winner for you. Of course, the cell phone comes with a 8 GB bundled memory card, so there is something to smile about anyway.
