The Nokia 2710 Navigation has a dedicated key straight to the Maps application showing the user their location, and providing navigation. The handset has both integrated GPS and A-GPS receivers along with a digital compass and can provide a simple A to B route plan besides nearby landmarks and points of interest. As the user travels, they can record it all through photos and videos with the 2 megapixel camera.

The phone has Nokia Messaging, and among SMS and MMS as well as instant messaging features, it also provides the user with up to 10 email accounts, supporting many of the most popular personal email providers including GMail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail. An Ovi Mail account is also featured, and can be easily accessed through the handset's full HTML web browser which displays the Web clearly on the 2.2 inch screen.

The camera is able to capture images as well as video. It has digital zoom up to 4 times, and supports JPEG images. Images can then be shared instantly with friends through Ovi Share or on social networking sites through the handset's web browser, Opera mini. The phone features a music player also, which sorts tracks and can sort by the different moods of the music too. All this media can be stored on the phone's impressive 2 gigabytes of microSD memory which is included, and can be boosted by up to 16 gigabytes further, with hot swappable microSD.


The 2710 Navigation also features the common persona information management features such as a calendar, calculator, converter and recorder, along with calling features such as speed and voice dialling and integrated handsfree (loudspeaker). For additional live entertainment, the handset has a built-in FM radio with RDS support too.

For connectivity, the handset has Bluetooth 2.1 and a 3.5mm AVB connector which can be used for either headphones or linking to a speaker system for private or public enjoyment of the music or radio respectively. The data networks supported by this Quad band phone are GPRS Class A and EDGE Class 10, allowing the user to always be able to keep up with emails, surf the web or use the navigation support, which includes a lifetime licence for free updating forever.

The Nokia 2710 Navigation is an impressive sleek handset with a 14-key keypad and dedicated camera and navigation keys for fast access to its two biggest features. Meanwhile it still provides music and radio for entertainment, a good web browser and plenty of email support.
