Who doesn't love movies?
No matter what your tastes and inclinations are, there's a movie genre out there for you. More and more people enjoy renting movies to watch in the comfort of their own homes, away from the movie theater crowds, high movie ticket prices, and possibly difficult parking situations.

The two main choices of renting movies is going to a videostore or renting films to watch online movies. Below, we'll explore the pros and cons associate with each.

MOVIE RENTAL FROM A STORE:
There are a few pros associated with renting movies from a store. Some people truly enjoy trekking out the the videostore and scouring row up row of shelves looking for new releases, classic films and must-see again titles. There's a certain tangibility that comes from picking up an actual DVD sleeve, turning it around to read the film's short synopsis, and in some cases, examing a dvd's cover art.

If there's a problem with your account or in finding a particular movie title or section, in all probability, you'll be able to find a store employee on the floor who can help you out.

Another pro is that you get your film then and there, perfect for lovers of instant gratification.

Now for the cons - and the first thing to mention is late fees. If you don't turn in your films when due, expect fees that can quickly add up.

In today's economy, it's harder and harder to find Blockbusters. Simply put, stores nationwide are closing down. Ditto with Hollywood Video. The larger chains are having difficulty competing with their online rivals, and the state of the economy isn't helping things much.

Even if you do find a chain video store that hasn't filed for bankruptcy, you may not necessarily find the movie title or the breadth of selection that you'd hoped for. Large movie rental chains are fantastic for blockbusters and consumer favorites, but if your tastes lean more towards obscure art-house, foreign, or independent movie fare, you may not find it there.

MOVIE RENTAL ONLINE
As store movie rental has its share of pros, so does renting movies online. The first one is convenience. No more trekking out to the store, all you have to do is login in and select the movie(s) you want to watch.

Another pro is movie selection. You can easily find most titles, even the more obscure ones, simply by using a movie rental website's search box. We're talking thousands of titles across any movie genre you can think of.

Another pro is that you're able to create and maintain a queue of the films that you want to watch, now and in the feature.

Another positive aspect of online movie rental sites is that they don't seem to be goin' anywhere. They're hugely popular, and gaining momentum daily.

We've saved the best pro for last: no more late fees. At spots like Netflix, you hold onto your dvds as long as you like, and will only get the next film in your queue when a return is made and processed.

There aren't actually a whole lot of cons associated with renting movies online. Instead of instant gratification, movie lovers get "near instant" gratification, usually receiving their chosen film selection(s) a day after their choices have been made. so thats why we much perfur to watch free TV online. However, once you get into the swing of things, it's fairly easy to have a working system of movie rental return and recept, so that you'll never have to spend a night of the week without a movie to watch.
