Parveen Babi - The Diva of Hindi Film Industry

In her acting career spanning twenty long years, she acted in around fifty movies, of which 10 are regarded as the best films in her career. Parveen Babi experimented effectively with several roles which proved her talent as an actress undoubtedly. Her roles varied from gangster's moll, to a mother, a seductress, a cabaret dancer and to a woman in quietude in different films.

She shared the screen space with many well known actors, of which Amitabh Bachchan was her pair in most of her hit films. With a variety of roles in different movies, she was lucky to act in some popular songs which brought her career to a new level.

Amar Akbar Anthony, a popular film of the '70s, had Parveen in a romantic song along with other two pairs. The song, Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai, became a melodious romantic song. Two of her most popular songs belong to the movie Namak Halal, along side the legendary actor Shashi Kapoor. Jawani Janeman Haseen Dilruba and Raat Baaki Baat Baaki added to her already popular image of an actress. These songs are listened to even to this day by music lovers in the country and remains as an evergreen number. Parveen attracted people with sensuous looks in these songs.

The highest grossing movies Suhaag (1979) and Main To Beghar Hoon cast Parveen and Shashi kapoor. A few of her romantic songs were Pyaar Karnewale Pyaar Karte Hain, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hai I Love You and Teri Jheel Si Gehre Aankhon.

For a long time, her relations with Mahesh Bhatt and Kabir Bedi attracted public attention. In comparison with other actresses, Parveen Babi has an unusual charm and confidence.
