The word "organic" and anything related to this word has become a very hot-button subject. It has gained such prominence that if a product contains one component that is from an "organic" source, the entire product will be marketed as having "organic" materials. In short, a baby's skin is so much more sensitive than an adult's skin that any irritant like pesticides and other toxins found in conventionally produced cotton can be hazardous to your child.

Besides being healthier for your children, organically grown cotton is better for the environment as well. It is grown using methods that have a low impact on the environment and the methods used also replenish the soil. Do not believe that just anyone can claim to have organic cotton. If it is sold in the United States, the cotton must meet strict federal regulations on how it is to be cultivated.
