Deccan Chargers, the new IPL Champions !

What a start to the IPL Final ! Gilchrist bowled by Kumble for a duck ! By the third ball of the match ! Kumble coming on to bowl the first over, knowing that it is Gillie who is facing him !

Now Deccan Chargers are now 45/2 off 7 overs. Gibbs and Symonds are batting and if they can blast now, that will be the escape route for the chargers !

Symonds is bowled now by Kumble and DC are 58/3 off 8.5 overs.

Now DC have finished their innings at 143/6, leaving Bangalore to score 144. Gibbs remained not out on 53.

In a magnificent display of spin bowling, Kumble took 4 for 16 in four overs. He had played the captain's role !

Kallis went early bowled by R P Singh for 16 and when the score was 36, Pandey was out for 4. Van Der Merwe scored a scintillating 32, but none of the other batsmen impressed. During this IPL, there were some sweeping changes, Gillie becoming the captain instead of VVS Laxman and this restructuring had brought home the bacon !
