T-Mobile have now launched the new Nokia X6 Pink edition on a range of pay monthly tariffs, this new colour variant in the series joins the recently introduced Nokia X6 Black, Blue, White, Red, and Silver which all offer slightly different finishes to their exterior casings.

This latest pink model is the first to be firmly aimed at a more female audience and is quite subtle in its approach, rather than an all pink finish to the phone the front is finished mostly in black with metallic pink accents whilst the reverse is the white colour also found in the Nokia X6 Blue edition.

The features and specifications of all of the Nokia X6 16GB colour variant remain the same throughout the range, the large 3.2 inch touch screen makes for easy menu navigation, the Carl Ziess optics of the 5.0 mega pixel camera facilitate high quality photographs as well as video clips and the advanced music player is great for listening to your favourite songs.

The 16GB memory is enough to store up to 5,500 individual music tracks, any more and you would need to opt for the larger memory of the two 32Gb X6 models, these are available in both white with blue accents and black with red accents.

The 16Gb edition omits the 'Comes with Music' service found on the original larger sized memory models, this helps to keep the overall price of the handset down and opens up the market to those on a tighter budget, namely the youth market.

Competition against this latest model comes in many forms, there are a number of new pink mobile phones recently launched as well as a number of handsets with similar features and specifications.

The 3.2 inch screen is matched by the Sony Ericsson Vivaz although this model also records video in HD quality, the Motorola Milestone also makes for a good competitor and adds a further slide out physical Qwerty keyboard into the mix.

Other new pink phones include the Sony Ericsson W995 Pink which is also a music focused handset, the LG Pop Pink which is the slimmest touch screen phone available and the Samsung B3410 Pink which incorporates social networking features alongside a physical Qwerty keyboard.

Originally released on O2 and Orange contract deals the Nokia X6 Pink edition continues to find new network partners, this latest release on T-Mobile means that there are even more deals to choose from when trying to match your usage. There are further network launches expected on both the 3 Mobile and Vodafone networks as well as a SIM Free and Pay As You Go release at some time soon.
