Pre school girls all want to look alike whether it's their dress, jeans, shirts, coats and shoes or boots. In fact, pre teens want to fit in with the pack and they tend to shop for the same fashions as their friends.

One of the latest fashion trends for pre school girls is Skechers Twinkle Toes shoes. My five year old grand daughter absolutely had to have a pair and it was all about having the same shoes the other girls had. We went shopping to specifically find Twinkle Toes and started at Payless shoe store. We ended up buying her shoes on line at Zappos.com

I got an education about Twinkle Toes shoes during this shopping frenzy. The shoes are really quite cute and the various colors presented a bit of an issue...a 5 year old has difficulty in choosing from all the choices. There were pink/blue/orange/purple shoes, different patterns, the toes lit up differently and all the shoe laces were not alike much to my surprise.

The Twinkle Toes shoes are perfect for school and play. Skechers makes several different Twinkle Toes designs in a variety of colors. Some Twinkle Toes designs include a light pattern on the sides of the shoe, as well as the toe, that lights up with each step the child takes. This design is not only fun, but adds a level of safety by increasing the child's visibility at night.

Some Twinkle Toes designs also include colorful rhinestone detailing on the toe of the shoe. Many Twinkle Toes designs also come with a set of glittery laces to add even more pizzazz to the shoes. However, many designs are simply a slip-on style. There are also designs that come with cute charms, such as hearts, roses and bows that dangle from a shoelace grommet. Prices range from $20 to $50.

Trendy boots are also part of the Skechers Twinkle Toes line. Made of soft fabric with rhinestone detailing on the toe, these boots really make a fashion statement. The boots are great for the winter months as they are fully lined with faux fur, making them both comfortable and warm. If you live in a northern cooler climate, the kids can wear the boots year round.

Some Twinkle Toes boot designs come with an adjustable tie collar and beaded detail to tighten the top and help keep the cold weather out.
