The Samsung B3410 is a very functional handset which has proved popular since it's release in October 2009. A Pink colour variant has recently been added which is sure to increase the appeal of the handset which includes key features such as touch screen technology, QWERTY keyboard and an impressive media player.
The handset which measures 102.3x52.4x15.9mm weighs 113.7 grams making it comfortable to hold with one hand when using the touch screen, or two hands when using the QWERTY keyboard. The TFT touch screen measures 2.6 inches and uses a pixel resolution of 240x320 to display up to 256,000 colours for high quality image display.
MP3 files can be utilised as ringtones allowing users to customise their handset. This feature works alongside vibration to alert of incoming calls and messages. A speakerphone is installed for hands free talking. It offers good sound quality thanks to a DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine). Hands free headsets also offer an option for hands free communication via the 3.5mm audio jack which can also be used for listening to music with earphones.
A 2MP camera allows good quality still images to be take using the phone. It operates at 1600x1200 pixels, and has the ability to shoot video in QVGA quality at a rate of 13 frames per second. For storing images and videos as well as music files, 30 MB of internal memory is provided. Up to 8 GB can be made available by utilising the micro SD slot and installing a larger memory card.
A variety of music and video file formats are supported by the aforementioned media player. Additional sources of entertainment include a stereo FM player and recorder with RDS and a selection of games along with access to a library of downloadable games.
In order to connect to networks, class 10 versions of both EDGE and GPRS provide adequate connection capabilities in all but the most remote areas. Version 2.1 Bluetooth is installed as standard which offers a convenient method of sharing files and data with compatible handsets in the same vicinity. In order to hook up the phone to a PC, a USB (v2.0) connection is provided. This serves the purpose of transferring and backing up files and data such as media files and contact information.
Handy features such as an organiser, T9, voice memo and direct access to Google search add to the everyday functionality of the Samsung B3410 Pink. It's new colour scheme offers the phone to a demographic of users who view their phones as a fashion statement.
