The camera on the Sony Ericsson Satio is a huge 12 mega pixels and offers outstanding resolution and imagery when taking photos, in fact the resolution is better than most stand alone digital cameras. For location referencing geo-tagging is provided. For those who prefer taking video footage, the phone offers this at VGA quality and at a 30 frames per second.

The screen is excellent quality and ensures that images are displayed with excellent colour reproduction. To ensure optimum viewing of images, an accelerometer sensor provides the means to alter the aspect automatically to either landscape of portrait whichever is relevant for the image displayed.

For auditory entertainment, a useful MP3 player and stereo FM radio are provided. This allows the user to listen to either downloaded music files, of which the phone will play most of the types used, as well as the opportunity to listen to local and national radio stations if desired.

Internet access is provided by the HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections with the ability to browse the web at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. Access is via either its own connection or through nationally available Wi-Fi hot spots. Other forms of connectivity are provided which includes Blue tooth, USB, GPRS and EDGE.
