The display screen comes with an accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates imagery dependent upon the aspect of the image and the orientation of the phone.

The Palm Pre comes with a myriad of connectivity options which include GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Blue tooth and microUSB as well as an infrared port. This multitude of connections provides the means to connect the device to a wide variety of devices and systems and offers its user the ability to perform numerous tasks whilst out and about. Internet access is provided by the handset at fast speeds with the added benefit of being able to utilise nationally available Wi Fi hotspots. In addition GPS is built into the handset and provides satellite navigation.

This is suitably good enough quality to provide imagery that can be displayed on this screen as well as being printed out. The handset comes with an internal memory of 8 GB, which is suitably large enough to provide enough space for plenty of media files.

The Palm Pre is elegant handset, which offers an excellent level of functionality and usability for the price. It provides many useful features that are utilised in other handsets, however Palm have endeavoured to strip out unnecessary items such as an MP3 player and radio. This unit is meant to be utilised as a workhorse and for internet access and since its release in October 2009 has proved to be a popular unit.
