The popular handset known as the Nokia X6 is now available in a 16GB silver version. The handset still retains the usual accoutrements and style that have made it a popular choice among the consumer, however with the amended memory capacity it takes the handset onto another level. The unit utilises the Symbian series 60, version 9.4, operating system in addition to the ARM 11 434 MHz processor, both of which provide a reliable and stable platform by which the functionality can flourish.

The handsets 3.2 inch TFT touch screen provides the means to display 16 million colours, which ensures image quality is second to none. As a means of automating certain features, the phone provides both proximity and accelerometer sensors, which automate image orientation and auto shut off, to conserve battery power. One of the key elements of this handset, taking into account that the screen takes up so much of the front face is the fact that it offers a scratch resistant glass surface.

The handset comes with GPRS and EDGE, both of which are class 32 in addition to blue tooth and micro-USB connections, both of which are version 2.0. The unit provides internet access by virtue of its HSDPA and Wi Fi connections, providing speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.

The Nokia X6 16GB Silver offers an impressive 5.0 megapixel camera that takes advantage of the quality of Carl Zeiss optics in addition to auto focus and the dual LED flash which is also incorporated into the unit. For those who utilise geo-tagging, this is also a feature included within the handset. The camera also provides the means to take VGA quality video capture at 30 frames per second, in addition to a secondary camera which offers QCIF quality at 15 frames per second. The handsets internal memory capacity is set at 16GB, as its name suggests

Media playing capabilities are provided by the MP4/MP3 player, whilst the stereo FM radio with RDS offers alternative entertainment. The GPS function provided with the handset offers satellite navigation, whilst the included organiser and voice command functions offer additional useful features.

The Nokia X6 Blue is one of the current range and offers alternative colour variant of the original model. This 16 GB option provides an impressive level of technology contained within an aesthetically pleasing casing, with the added benefit of being more affordable.
