The Nokia X3 is an attractive slider phone with an array of useful functionality. It's key features include internet access, a digital camera with video, and a versatile media player for music and video files.

The slider handset measures 96x49.3x14.1mm and weighs 103. Its light weight and rather slim profile make it a comfortable device to use. The TFT screen measures 2.2 inches and utilises 240x320 pixels to display 256,000 colours for good quality display of on screen content.

Downloadable polyphonic ringtones and MP3 ringtones allow the user to customise their phone, and both of these functions operate alongside vibration to alert users of incoming calls. As a means of communicating hands free, a 3.5mm audio jack is provided along with a speakerphone system which features stereo speakers for excellent sound quality.

46MB of internal storage is available as standard, however a 2GB memory card is included in the microSD slot for further storage of data such as media files. Should more storage be required, the micro SD slot will accommodate a memory card of up to 16GB.

Class 32 EDGE and GPRS provide the main method of connecting to networks. As a means of file sharing with other compatible devices in the same locality, Bluetooth v2.1 is installed as standard. This allows efficient file transfer free of charge. Micro USB finishes off the list of connectivity specs for the X3. This offers a means by which the phone can be connected to a computer so tasks can be carried out such as transferring and backing up files and data such as media files and contact information.

The Nokia X3 is equipped with a digital camera boasting 3.2MP (2048x1536) and features enhanced fixed focus. It also has the ability to shoot video in QCIP quality at a rate of 15 frames per second, offering an alternative means of capture to still images.

A range of both music and video file formats are supported by the built in media player. When listening to music via the media player, users can take advantage of dedicated music keys located on the handset. These offer a convenient means of controlling the music player whilst using other applications on the phone. Stereo FM radio playback and a selection of games add to the entertainment options featured on the Nokia X3.

It is features like this that make one realise that the Nokia X3 is very much aimed towards entertainment. Whilst it may not offer features such as 3G connectivity, its versatile media player and digital camera are sure to appeal to music fans and those who use their phone for entertainment purposes whilst carrying out everyday functions with ease and efficiency.
