The Nokia E63 Black is the third of the series of this phone with other colour variants including red and blue editions already available. The phone is an innovative phone which in some ways looks nothing like a typical modern day mobile phone, as its front face is almost engulfed by the full QWERTY keyboard. However, Nokia have still found a way to include a wealth of features including a large screen.

The 2.36 inch TFT screen displays 16 million colours, which provides images of a vibrant and clear nature. The resolution of the screen is 320 x 240 pixels. The phone itself is only 13 mm thick, so it's also relatively slim considering the features included.

The Nokia E63 Black provides a 2 mega pixel camera with 1600 x 1200 resolution. An LED flash helps to illuminate subjects for clarity of images when taking snap shots. The camera also doubles up as a QVGA quality video camera capable of recording at 15 frames per second. Video call is also provided for calls to other suitably equipped phones. Memory storage internally is set at 120 Mb but is easily expandable up to a huge 16 GB by using the microSD slot available.

GPRS and EDGE, both class 32 are available as well as Blue tooth and microUSB for additional connectivity and file sharing capabilities. Wi-Fi provides the means to access the internet at available hotspot areas, which coupled with the large screen makes browsing enjoyable. The phone also provides an MP3 player as well as an FM radio.

The full QWERTY keyboard is the focal point of the phone and offers an effective and far more efficient means of data entry than other forms of input. Its PDA styling ensures that text is inputted in a quick and easy manner and saves its owner time.

The Nokia E63 Black, much like its other colour variant counterparts the Nokia E63 Blue and Red are phones that are aimed at the PDA type of user. Its QWERTY keyboard takes up the majority of the front face of the phone and as such is a statement of intent with this phone. Nokia have selected elements of functions that are aimed at specific types of phone users and amalgamated this information into a phone which has proven to be a popular choice.
