The Nokia 7230 measures 98x48x14.8mm and weighs in at just 100 grams, its light weight making it a comfortable handset to hold and use whilst out and about. In areas covered by the 3G network, speeds of up to 384 kbps can be achieved. Bluetooth v2.1 is installed as standard offering a means to share files with friends in the same location, provided they have a compatible handset. In order to carry out tasks such as backing up contact info or transfer media files, the handset can be connected to a computer via micro USB (v2.0) connection.

The Nokia 7230 is equipped with a digital camera boasting 3.15 megapixels, which operates at 2048x1536 pixels for good quality still images to be taken. This also doubles up as an effective video camera, in QCIF quality at a rate of 8 frames per second.

The Nokia 7230 offers a range of impressive entertainment features. The media player supports most of the common file formats of both music and video files, whilst a stereo FM radio player and several pre-installed games are provided along with access to a library of downloadable games.
