The LG GM205 Black measures 106x48x14x4mm and weighs just 85 grams, its light weight making it a comfortable phone to use on the go. The 2 inch TFT screen utilises pixels at 176x220 pixels to display up to 256,000 colours for vivid on screen display.
In order to customise the phone, polyphonic ring tones can be downloaded, and MP3 music files assigned as ring tones. These features work alongside vibration to alert users of incoming calls and texts. To chat hands free, a speakerphone system is included. This feature offers a means of sharing files free of charge with compatible handsets in the same vicinity. The phone can be connected to a computer via the USB (v2.0) connection, which provides a means of carrying out tasks such as transferring media files or backing up contact information.
Photos of a decent quality can be taken with the built in 2 mega pixel camera (1600x1200 pixel resolution). As an alternative method of image capture, it can also shoot video in QCIF quality at a rate of 15 frames per second.
Many popular formats of music and video files are accommodated by the phone's media player. An FM radio player and choice of games offer additional entertainment options.
