The Nokia 6300 Is Back With A Gold Version

After the release of the original Nokia 6300 in January 2007, a gold colour variation of the popular handset has recently been released. A versatile handset, the new gold colour is sure to attract new users to this previously discontinued handset.

The 6300 Gold measures 106.4x43.6x11.7mm and weighs in at just 91 grams making it comfortable to hold and use. The 2 inch TFT screen is capable of displaying up to 16 million colours at 240x320 pixels, ensuring depth and clarity of on screen content.

Users are alerted to incoming calls and messages by vibration and ringing with the option to download polyphonic ringtones and even utilize MP3 music files a ringtones. A speakerphone is built in allowing hands free communication.

Internal memory of the 6300 Gold is 7.8 MB as standard; however this can be increased to 2 GB by taking advantage of the built in microSD slot, allowing sufficient storage of media files and other data.

To stay connected on the move, Class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE are utilized. Web browsing is enabled thanks to a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. Users can also use Bluetooth version 2.0 to connect to other compatible devices in order to directly transfer media files and other data.

The 6300 Gold comes equipped with a camera boasting 2 MP which operates at a pixel resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. As an alternative to taking still photos, the camera can also shoot video in QCIF quality.

The inbuilt media player supports a range of file formats. MP3, MP4, AAC+ and eAAC+ files are all supported for music and video playback. Media files can easily be transferred to and from a computer by using the mini USB connection port. Other entertainment features include a stereo fm radio player with visual radio effects, and a range of pre-installed games with the option to download additional games if required.

Several extra features add to the functionality of this attractive handset. A useful organiser is included along with T9 predictive text input which saves time when composing text messages. An impressive voice command feature is included as well as a handy voice memo recorder.

As well as this new gold version, several other colour options of the same handset are available. These include silver, black, red/silver and white silver. So as well as a useful handset with an array of features, it is sure to have appeal to many as a fashion statement.
