The new T-Mobile Compact V released and reviewed

The T-Mobile Compact V offers a sumptuous menagerie of function and form. Its dark sultry looks and large touch screen offer a beautifully stylish phone which also contains some of the highest specification integrated elements contained within the phone.


The phone measures 107 mm x 53 mm wide. It is 13 mm thick and weighs in at 117 grams. The phone has a PDA bias and as such incorporates the Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor as its integrated processing unit whilst utilising the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system for its functionality.

The phone comes with a 3.2 inch TFT resistive touch screen which displays 65,000 colours, which is more than enough to give vibrant images and excellent colour representation. The screen size is 480 x 800 pixels. To access the internal elements of the phone, TouchFlo 3D is provided which is an ingenious finger swipe navigation system. This also includes a touch sensitive zoom bar as well as an accelerometer to amend the aspect of images for optimum viewing.

Internet access is provided by the HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. GPRS and EDGE, Blue tooth and miniUSB are also all included within the package and provide additional means of connectivity.

The T-Mobile Compact V comes with a 5 mega pixel camera which has a resolution of 2593 x 1944 pixels. Auto focus and touch focus provide the means to ensure picture clarity is excellent. Video recording and playback are available at VGA quality at 15 frames per second. A secondary VGA camera provides the ability to video call.

The remaining features include an MP3 player, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS support and pocket versions of MS Office and a voice memo facility.

The T-Mobile MDA Compact V is a phone which provides the means to accomplish many tasks. It is a phone which has masses of appeal and is also useful.
