The HTC Touch2 is a phone unlike any other. Offering a glittering array of technology encased within an aesthetically pleasing casing, its popularity is justified. There are numerous functions and features that are contained within this handset, including an impressive CPU and operating system combination as well as responsive and effective navigation around its features due to its impressive TouchFLO finger swipe navigation system.


The HTC Touch2 is a smart phone, which incorporates a Qualcomm MSN 7225 528 MHz processor as its central processing unit. The handset was released in September 2009 and has gone on to become one of HTC's most popular phones. The unit measures 104 mm x 55 mm wide and is 12 mm thick, whilst weighing only 110 g in weight. It comes with vibration and ring alert types as well as the ability to download polyphonic, MP3 and WAV ring tones. In addition a speakerphone and a 3.5 mm audio jack also included.



The display screen with this handset is an impressive 2.8 inch TFT resistive touch screen which utilises the TouchFLO finger swipe navigation system as well as a touch sensitive zoom bar for clarity of image. The screen is able to display up to 65,000 colours and operate at a pixel screen size of 240 x 320 pixels.


An MP4/MP3 player is provided as well as pocket office, a voice memo function and a variety of games for entertainment. In addition a 3.15 megapixel camera which operates at a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels is also included within the package. The camera doubles up as a video capture device which will record video at CIF quality and at 30 frames per second.


The unit comes with a multitude of connectivity options which include internet access both through its own connection and through Wi Fi. In addition GPRS and EDGE are both included and are both class 10. Bluetooth and mini USB are provided as well as HSDPA connectivity which provides the aforementioned internet access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. GPS with A-GPS support offers satellite navigation.



The HTC Touch 2 is available in black, brown and silver and offers an impressive level of functionality. Styled much in a PDA style, the handset provides internet access in an effective and efficient means as well as the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks whilst on the move.
