The Nokia 6760 is a new handset from Nokia that offers a vast array of functionality, as well as internet access and the luxury of a full QWERTY keyboard. It is a comprehensive unit that is endowed with functionality that enables a great number of tasks to be performed whilst on the move.


The unit comes with an impressive full QWERTY keyboard which simply slides out from behind the display screen. The keyboard is responsive and effective due to the large size of the keys and its sensitivity. The display screen itself is a 2.4 inch TFT screen which offers excellent colour reproduction due to its ability to display 16 million colours accurately. An accelerometer sensor is also provided which automatically rotates imagery dependent upon the aspect of the image in question and the orientation of the screen.


The Nokia 6760 comes with vibration and ring alert types available as well as the ability to download polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, which adds an element of personalisation to the phone. In addition a speakerphone, as well as a 2.5 mm audio jack is provided.


The handset comes with a camera which includes enhanced fixed focus as standard, whilst the camera offers a resolution of 3.15 megapixels and also provides the ability to record QVGA quality video at 15 frames per second. A secondary camera is also provided.


The phone comes with 120 MB internal memory storage capability with the added bonus of being able to utilise a 2 GB card, which is generally included within many packages. In addition the memory can be expanded up to 16 GB by utilising the micro SD card slot. The handset comes with an MPEG 4/MP3 player as well as a stereo FM radio with RDS capabilities, Quickoffice, PDF reader, a photo editor and voice memo facility as well as a flashlight 3.0.


As you would expect with a handset such as this, connectivity is no problem. Both GPRS and EDGE are class 32 as well as Bluetooth and USB, both of which are version 2. The HSDPA connection offers internet access at speeds of up to 3.6 MB per second, for fast and effective web browsing.
