Since the emergence of life on Earth, there have been 500 million kinds of living on the earth, but now the vast majority has disappeared. The extinction of species is a natural phenomenon in the evolutionary history of life on Earth, it should be a normal event, however, since the mankind entered the industrial society, people supercilious participation in the affairs of nature, which made the extinction schedule much earlier.
Here, I want to talk about the reasons that lead to the extinction of the wild animals. As long as the conditions remain unchanged, the natural species and their communities can survive for a long period. Even if in the proliferation or reduced, its course is slow and gradually. The intensification of human activities has broken the balance, leading to the extinction of the wild animals.
1. The habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation. Humanity can shortly leveling hills and make 50 % of global deforestation, the environment changed quickly by this destructive interference, resulting in many species loss their habitat, leading to the extinction and this state of affairs is still persistent. In the brink of extinction of vertebrates, 67 % of species suffer from habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation.

2. Over- exploitation. In the endangered vertebrates, 37 % of the species are subject to the threat of over-exploitation. Many wild animals are taken as the utilization objects, the meat of wild animals become the goods to sale by human. Humanity wantonly kill the largest animal on Earth, which speed up the extinction of wild animals.
3. Pollution. For the economic purposes, human release of toxic substances to the natural, chemical products, vehicle exhaust, industrial waste water, toxic metals, crude oil diarrhea drain, solid waste, detergents, cooling agents, preservatives, water pollution, acid rain, greenhouse effect, even the noise pollution of the military, all of these interfere the communication behavior and feeding ability of wild animals.
There are still some other reasons that lead to the extinction of wild animals. While compared with other factors, the effect of pollution is subtle and accumulated.
In face of this situation, we must make our efforts to protect and save wild animals, to keep ecological balance. Sea Turtle Protection is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wild animals, especially sea turtles. If you want to make your contribution to the protection and conservation of wild animals, you can join in the organization and be a volunteer of the organization. Also, in the organization, you will learn more about the wild animals.
