The Acer Liquid A1 is a recently released handset from Acer that utilises the donut version of the Android operating system. It is a relatively large handset, with an impressive touch screen, internet access and a huge array of functionality, sufficient to keep anyone amused for hours.


Functionality is prevalent within this handset, as testified by its impressive 3.5 inch TFT touch screen. Operating at a screen size of 480 x 800 pixels, the screen is able to display up to 256,000 colours, which means that images are displayed in effervescent and vibrant fashion. The Acer 3.0 user interface, incorporated into the handset, provides a responsive and effective means of accessing the functionality and navigating around the screen. In addition both proximity and accelerometer sensors, automate tasks such as auto rotation of imagery and automatic shut off, to conserve battery power.


As with many high end mobile phones, social integration is an element which is included. In this particular handset Facebook and Flickr integration are included as standard. An MP4/MP3 player provides suitable entertainment options, whilst the 5.0 mega pixel camera provides an effective camera. The camera comes with autofocus and an LED flash as well as a geo-tagging and also doubles up as a VGA quality video camera which records at 20 frames per second.



The Acer Liquid A1 is available in a variety of colours which include black, white and red and also comes with an internal memory of 256 MB. The memory can be expanded upon by using the relevant card slot, enabling the memory to be expanded up to 32 GB if required. The phone comes with GPRS, EDGE blue tooth and USB as well as HSDPA and Wi Fi.
