Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job, is a surgery that is used to reshape and recontour the nose. About two days after surgery, all surgical packing will be removed from the inside of the nose, but you still will be bruised and swollen for approximately 10 to 14 days. You must keep your head elevated for the first few days, and stay away from strenuous activities for at least a few weeks.

Bleeding, infection, nasal blockage, and even skin problems could occur after rhinoplasty surgery. Patients can always expect to see some swelling and bruising around the nose and eyes right after surgery and continuing for at least 10 to 14 days.
