Samsung have now released their 3rd Genio phone, the new Samsung Genio Pro is the manufacturers latest device to feature a slide out Qwerty keypad and was known as the Corby Pro in some markets.

Regardless of this new phones name it has always been referred to as the Samsung B5310 and joins the recently launched Samsung Genio Touch and Samsung Genio Qwerty editions in the Genio range.

This latest addition brings with it further technology and features to what is mainly seen as a fashion phone series, however with built in HSDPA, 3.5G support and WiFi the new Samsung Genio Pro serves many other purposes.

Its main advantage over the Genio Touch and Samsung Genio Qwerty models is the phones slide out Qwerty keyboard which allows for quick text input for writing emails, profile updates and text messages.

This form factor is only found in two other models from the manufacturer, these include the Samsung B3410 and recently released Samsung Omnia Pro, the Genio Pro sits firmly in between these phones in terms of specifications.

Other features of the Samsung Genio Pro include a 3 mega pixel camera, 2.8 inch touch screen, a media player with support for DivX, a 3.5mm audio jack for using your own headphones and an expandable memory using MicroSD cards up to 16GB.

The Genio Pro does however mirror the funky design of the other two models in the range with an ergonomically curved body that sits well in your hand as well as exchangeable back covers to give the option of personalisation.

This is a phone that will suit a stylish and young person wanting to keep up with friends via social networking, texting and email that wants alittle more than a budget handset in their pocket but doesn't want to pay the top prices of the higher specced handsets.

Coming as a SIM free phone at the end of the month the Samsung Genio Pro is also due for release on Vodafone Pay As You Talk just two days later with a £60 network discount.

The Samsung Genio Touch was the first in the Genio range to make it to market and is also referred to as a Corby phone as is the Samsung Genio Qwerty, being called the Corby and CorbyTXT respectively.

Alternative handsets offering a similar design include the LG GW520, Nokia 6760, Samsung B3410 and the more expensive Samsung Omnia Pro.
