Is it Time For Solar Energy to Get Hot?

Solar electricity has been about for quite a while and most of the people don't give it some thought much excepting those who are already into replaceable power sources. Environmentalists have always adored the idea of solar energy but what has kept it from going more conventional, being more commonly used and looked on as something someone wants to spend to install on their property? there were enhancements in the technology of solar electricity, but has there been enough? Isn't the war on fear and the will to be independent of foreign sources of energy enough to encourage folk to use solar energy? At what point will solar energy become the great and never ending source of energy plenty of envisioned many years ago?

Well, I, for one, think the time has nearly come for solar power to truly take off because of one reason : it will be economically the right and smart thing to do.

Last year I was driving to Vegas from San Jose and when I was just about three quarters of the way to my destination I passed a sign that declared something about a'solar farm.' I glanced over and saw row upon row of solar panels sitting in the middle of the dessert. Then I assumed' Wow. But I thought why not lease some land and buy a few of these panels and start my own little farm? It made sense and really it still makes sense to me.

I went home later and looked into the solar electricity industry. I would have liked to see if this was possible now and I assumed if these folks put all those panels out in the pudding and sold the energy to others why can't a small businessman?

Well, what I discovered is that it isn't quite feasible to do as yet. Because the price of the panels, property, labor etc.. Wasn't low enough to earn a profit for what you can sell the energy for. The solar farm was quite likely sponsored by the govt. So I looked into the possibility of using them on houses. This concept has been about for decades and you do see the panels on more homes than you used to so I wondered if this was possible now. I discovered that it just takes too long for the average customer to get their investment back to think about putting solar energy panels on their homes. The average time for a homeowner to get the money back on their investment is anywhere from twelve years to twenty years. For this industry to take off that figure I believe will have to go down to around five to 7. Not that far truly. It could basically go below that.

1. The cost of the panels will have to decrease.

2. The panels will have to boost and produce more energy.
The price of energy will have to extend.

Actually just one of these elements can happen to a great degree and the other 2 stay constant and the point will be reached where the solar power industry will explode. But very likely, all three will come closer together and at some point folk will decide to start purchasing the panels in unprecedented numbers and we are going to see this way of making energy from a clean and replaceable source be commonplace.
Here is why I believe the time is extraordinarily near for this explosion to occur.

There is a bill in the state legislature in California now that will spend $billions on kickbacks for solar electricity. The governor wants to show that he is in the front of this movement and wants to be aggressive. Some do not like the way the bill is written, but there's a good chance it'll pass.
two. The panels are becoming more and better at producing more energy. Usually I loathe our jobs going oversees to folk who only get fragments of what the US employee makes but in this example it'll also create many jobs here to install the panels, sell them, warehouse them etc... Clean, replenish-able energy that makes us less reliable on foreign oil and gases.
folk can act now, and many already are by buying and installing these solar energy panels.

Solar panel are also a great and easy way to collect solar power. Check out this link for more on Solar Energy
