The technique involved in tracking lost cell phones is that, a customer subscribes for a particular software from a genuine company that offers such services and the he or she is downloads the software to his or her cell phone that has internet connection applications such as GPRS. The software is then installed to about 250 modules of the cell phone. After installation, the software then stores a unique number of that identifies each mobile phone, as well as SIM (subscriber identity module) card number. The software then requests for another alternative phone number and email address which is stored.
