Vastu Shasta is the Vedic study of architecture, which follows certain principles and is aligned with certain beliefs. In earth, there are so many forces which affect our life. We can utilize those forces by following Vastu principles. The world comprises of five basic elements, also known as the Paanchbhootas. They are Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Space. Out of the nine planets, our planet has life because of the presence of these five elements. Elements of Vastu ShastraVastu are the science of direction that combines all the five elements of nature and balance them with the man and the material. Vastu Shastra is creating a congenial settings or a place to live or work, in most scientific way taking advantages of the benefits bestowed by the five elements called "Paanchbhootas" of the nature thereby paving the way for enhanced health, wealth, prosperity and happiness in an enlightened environment.

The importance of orientation of a building is not only for saving energy but also to have a better house design, which not only gives comfortable living but also gives good health, prosperity and wealth to the house owners/occupiers and these families. There lies a co-relation between the rotational scenario of Directions the planets and the house design and their different directions with respect of NORTH. The building of any type and its construction meets the purpose if proper orientation has been given using suitable local building material. It increases not only its life span but also improves the condition of occupants. There are instances where buildings are not planned according to required local orientation were lost or deteriorated much faster than the buildings having built with proper studies of orientation.

The proper orientation means the proper knowledge of all the eight directions. It is a common knowledge that the direction from where the Sun arises is known as East and where it sets as West and when one faces the East direction, towards one's left is north and towards one's right is South. The corner where two directions meet obviously is more significant since it combines the forces emanating from both the directions. SO in all there are eight directions , North, Northeast, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West, Northwest. Every direction has its own significance and has its own construction. The basic rules of Vastu Shasta are based on these eight directions.

It is a word derived from Sanskrit language. It’s root word is Vas and Tun is a suffix. This is the linguistic etymology of `Vast` which means—an art of house construction, built by a human being. Not only living house, Industry, office, Factory are also a Vastu.Remember Every Creation is a VASTU.It also protects a building from obstacles, natural calamities & upheavals. In fact,Vastu is the name of five elements, like Earth, Water, Space, Air, and Wind, which remain united in a laid down proportion &ratio. Because proper balance amongst these five elements generates ‘Bio-electric magnetic energy’ which bestows excellent health, wealth, prosperity and comforts. About 6000 years ago, Vastu science was in a advance stage during the ancient era. Some critics says that Vastu Science became popular & prevalent only a decade ago, which is not a factual conclusion. I was learned Vastu Shastra at the age of 14th, and professionally practicing since 1990 to still now. According my practical Experience, Origin of Vastu Science is motivated by the spirit of welfare of humanity and justification of Life. Some people generally are found interested to know what is the utility and justification of Vastu and its applicability as they are living in rented houses, and also that they will remain free from damaging impact of defective Vastu. I advise such inquisitive people may be asked if there is a hole in a boat, whether it’s owned or rented by the travelers. It will equally harm all the boaters, whether they are owners or not.

he effect of sunlight is cast upon the Hindus, Muslims, Christians, among with other religions alike and without any discrimination, but all the persons are not endowed with identical wisdom and understanding, It depends on how a people accept it. To explain this point the story of five blind persons and an elephant worth mention. When they touched the elephant, a person caught hold of elephant’s tail, the second one his trunk, the third one placed his hand on the ear, the fourth person held the animal’s back and other one caught its foot firmly. One who caught the tail, felt that the elephant is like a broom , one who caught the trunk declared that the elephant is like an inverted fountain, because it is thick on the upper side but thin on the lower side, the person who touched the ear, said it resembles like a fan, one who caught the foot said it looks like a pole and the last one said it is like a mountain, Each person’s conclusion was based only on one portion of the animal, hence there is a seeming incongruity which denotes a limited and restricted vision which is confined only to one aspect, hence the variations give inconclusive descriptions
