Hungry and angry with Mar

The vice presidential bid of Mar Roxas is doomed because he cannot
even get the support of the people of Capiz, the province which had
the misfortune of having him as congressman for nearly a decade
starting in 1993.

According to JP Anthony Cuñada, one only has to look at the dismal
state of Pilar, Capiz to know that Mar Roxas is not right to be
President, or Vice President for that matter.

Blogged Cuñada"

I have nothing against Mar Roxas except that, for more than a decade
he has been in politics as a member of the House of Representatives
representing the province of Capiz, then as a Senator, why has my
town, Pilar, Capiz, whose welfare he should look after, remains in a
dismal state?"

It is because of politicians like Mar Roxas that blog like that
came about.

I want to wake Mar Roxas from his grand dreams with these words: "You
cannot change a lowly town only an hour away from the City named after
your family, how dare you proclaim you can change the Philippines and

all of it?"

The logic expressed by Cuñada was profound although it was simplicity
itself. He reasoned that if poverty is so widespread in Pilar and in
many other parts of Capiz, where Mar lorded it over as congressman for
many years, how can he solve the country's woes?

Continued Cuñada:

I felt sorry for myself and for the town (Pilar) I came from every
time I remember these trips (I made two). I hated the officials from
the Senator down to the town mayors. How can a town situated between
mountains that produce sugar, rice, corn, fruits and other
agricultural products, and the sea that bears fish of all kinds have
an eerie feeling of dryness, loneliness and hunger?

The people of Capiz are hungry and angry. Angry with whom? No one else
but Mar, the pretentious senator who has no track record whatsover
when it comes to delivering on his promises.
