Most businesses have recognized the need for language translation of company literature (online or manual) to build a broad customer base. They've also got plenty of options to consider before they decide on a translation company. There are basically three reasons why an enterprise would require translation:

Websites retain more online visitors when information is provided in their native language.

A large number of non-English speaking users access the Internet.

More than half of internet users prefer to speak their native language (other than English).
Such data is ample proof that language translation is a must for any successful website. The next step would be to look into company specific requirements. While you evaluate translation companies, keep the following points in mind.

1)Even though you zero in on one main service provider, keep a second option ready for emergencies.

2)Make sure your service provider understands the kind of business your enterprise is focused on. It helps them create a systematic procedure for literature translation.

3)You'll need to find a vendor who's willing to specialize in specific topics and languages.

4)Always analyze vendor pricing and their offers in detail. You'll need to look for other options if the services aren't worth the cost.

5)Get to know the people working on your company's account. Always study the person you do business with and the person who is directly involved with each task.

Note that manual translation isn't the only option available. There are plenty of companies that provide automated online translation as well.
