And all of a sudden, you had millions of people who had pretty much the exact same object in their hands that they used extensively everyday.

So where do the mobile phone accessories come in? Well, it probably started with the lack of choices when it came with the cell phone case. When people bought a unit, they had probably a choice between 2-3 cases in one style, just in different color. But people are expressive aren’t day? The need to fit in is only rivalled by the need to stand out. When cell phone companies saw this need, they responded immediately by creating newer products for the unit. And the rest, as they say, is history.

So the advent of the mobile phone accessory wasn’t by accident – but by design.
