Homemade banana and walnut pancakes are one of the most delicious and sweetest ones. These pancakes are great when you have an appetite for something both airy and fluffy and of course tasty. To make these pancakes you don't need to have big cooking talent or skills. Believe me, few rules to follow are enough to prepare one of the most delicious snacks. And there is another good thing about homemade banana and walnut pancakes! They can be served also for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Usually, making these pancakes takes me altogether about 40 minutes. Preparing the batter is one of the most easiest things but you have to remember about having fresh ingredients and about putting them in proper quantities. It is also important to mix dry and wet ingredients separately when you are making American style pancakes. Overall, cooking pancakes is not a hard task, so here is the recipe for these delicious homemade banana and walnut pancakes:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 3 oz (1 packet) of cream cheese, softened

- 1 medium egg
- ¾ cup of milk
- ½ cup of chopped walnuts
- ½ cup of whipped topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1 tablespoon of sugar

How to make banana and walnut pancakes:
  1. In one bowl, mix flour, sugar and baking powder.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.

  3. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined. It is important not to over mix the batter.

  4. Then add chopped walnuts and mashed bananas to the batter and mix gently again.

  5. Heat a frying pan or a griddle over medium high heat and brush it with few drops of oil.

  6. When frying pan is hot enough, pour about ¼ cup of the batter on the surface of the frying pan/ griddle.

  7. Cook pancakes on one side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Flip and cook pancakes again for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Serve pancakes warm and with desired topping.
