Have you heard? Green is not only the new black but it is changing from being viewed as hippie or leftist propaganda and ideology to a popular trend and movement.

You may not know these facts and statistics. Nearly ten million jobs have been lost! Meanwhile there's 2.2 billion dollars in green collar jobs in 2009! Despite the recent stock market plummet and scares, green stocks are up 25%. There are billions of dollars in green incentives available from the government.

Here are some steps you can take to start earning green by going green.
The first step is definitely to figure out your green niche. What are you most interested in? You can typically chose from energy conservation and green home improvement, green cleaning and household products, green personal care and beauty products or green nutrition , food and wellness or environmental protection and enhancement. Oh and you can concentrate on animals and wildlife too if you want!

Step 2- After you have found your niche decide what you want to do. Do you want to be in product development, product sales, product installation and service or in education? Once you have decided on what you would like to do you have to figure out how much money you have to invest in getting started

The next step is to decide if you want to own your own business, work for someone else or be an entrepreneur or independent contractor or representative of a company. Whatever you decide to do can be profitable for you in the short or long term. The advantage of working for or with an established company is that the initial investment will be more time than money. The advantage of starting your own business or company is that you will have control of all aspects but the disadvantage is higher start up capital and more invested time both in the beginning and in the long run.

4If you have decided to work for or with an established company you can find one and start doing your research on the internet. Do your due diligence before investing any money or time and talk to someone already working with that company about their experiences with that opportunity.
