Many thought the flip phone had seen its day, however the Nokia 2720 Fold is proof that that is not the case. With an extensive list of functionality and impressive styling, this handset has brought the chic back to flip phones. The handset is a small handset which is 93 mm by 46 mm wide and 17 mm thick in size. As is customary with this type of phone it also comes with two display screens.

The dual display screens provided with this handset include an external and internal screen, both of which are able to display a certain level of information. The external display which is the smaller of the two is able to display a limited amount of information which generally consists of time and call information and is monochrome. The internal screen is the main display screen and is a colour 1.8 inch TFT screen which has a screen pixel size of 120 x 160 pixels and provides excellent colour representation due to the fact it can display 65,000 colours.

The 1.3 mega pixel camera is an effective snapshot camera which operates at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. Although images can be taken with this camera, at this resolution images that are printed out would be grainy in nature. Video capture at CIF quality and at 15 frames per second is provided and is a useful alternative to still imagery.

The myriad of connection options available on the Nokia 2720 Fold includes GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and Blue tooth. With these connections the phone is able to conduct numerous tasks and connect to a multitude of devices whilst out and about.

Entertainment is provided by the inclusion of an MP3/MP4 player and stereo FM radio. This ensures that the owner is able to access a variety of either downloaded media files or alternatively, radio broadcasts from a wide range of radio stations.

The 2720 Fold is a phone which delivers performance and looks. Its appeal is down to a simplistic array of functionality and form. The inclusion of the numerous features within a handset which is affordable is a testimony to Nokia's ability to cram in technology at a cost effective price.
