Environmental Issues Around the World

It's often hard to know who to trust with regards environmental issues nowadays. There are so many different issues, but perhaps even more agendas that are linked to these problems. Take for example some of the new hybrid motor cars, these are supposed to be environmentally friendly, yet they are still using gas. Then there is the new flexifuel which is supposed to be healthier for the environment but it actually only saves about 3% of the toxins entreing the air. This article will mention a few more environmental issues that are to be found across the world today.

Perhaps the most important subjects are those which are directly health related. The pollutants that we fill our lives with are increasingly being linked with specific health issues. The air we breathe is thin and it's not getting any thicker! We attack Mother Nature constantly, harming the ozone layer which actually protects us. Our children will alas suffer more of these problems than we will, what a legacy we are leaving them.

Chemicals get dumped everywhere from the middle of the sea, to the countryside. Even though in most civilized countries this is illegal it still happens on a massive scale. There are so many unknown issues that can be linked with dumping chemicals in our environment, that it is truly quite scary. Even the most innocent chemicals can combine to create deadly health problems, mix bleach and ammonia together for instance and you have a deadly gas.

To some extent, the air pollution we create is pretty much inevitable given our lifestyles. So many parts of our every day lives create more and more pollution. Even driving that eco-friendly car is creating pollution, it's just creating slightly less. Even when we make a simple phone call from a mobile can have an ecological effect. But we shouldn't be disheartened, reducing our carbon footprints can make a real difference. The earth is resiliant, and if we can all make an effort to do things in a slightly more green way we can allow it to recover. Start with the young and educate your children, they will inevitably be more aware of these issues than the older generations.

I'd like to make one last point, you may think this issue may not be a big deal if you live in the US. However turn over any electronic device and if you read 'Made in China', you might perhaps think again.
