India is the 7th largest country in the world. It covers almost over 3.29 million square kilometers of area. Mining is one of the most important industries for India. Rather, it would not be wrong to say that Mining Services India and the Oil and Gas Services India are the backbone for the country.

India is producing about 84 minerals. These are used as the raw materials for the other operative industries out there and also are exported all around the globe. 11 metallic and 49 non-metallic mineral are included in the list of 84 that India produces. Four fuels and 20 minor minerals also get squeezed in into the list.

The mining Services India has been into existence from quite some time. It could be tracked backed to the time of kings and emperors who ruled. India has been relatively quite advanced as compared to the other countries even back in those times. Hence, the experience and the abundance the country has could be easily translated to the 84 minerals that it produces.

Officially the mining services in India have been operative from 1774 that is post independence. This is when the English companies undertook mining in Ranigang. In 1880 the Kolar goldfields were started in Karnataka. Thereafter, the Oil and Gas Services India say an origin point at Digboi, Assam, where the first oil well was dug. Despite all these, the mining industry in India couldn't get even an iota near to the potential it had. The total annual mineral production was only Rs.0.58 billion at that time.

Post independent, needless to say the country took some time to emerge and realize the potential that it could explore in the field of mineral, oil and gas. Moreover, slowly and gradually that is what India did. The Indian Mining Services and Oil & Gas services have definitely seemed great horizons and is still expanding.
