Since its creation, film industry has been a center of attraction to billions of people. It has fascinated and inspired them to work as professionals. Screen presence and acting of superstars in films, their glamour, their fame and luxury has always created a desire in many people to see themselves enjoy similar lives. In fact, with the growth of film industry all over the world, the desperation among young people to step in the glamour world has been enhanced. Film institutes providing educational courses on acting, direction and other technical works related to the film industry are now getting higher percentages of admission forms as more people are showing interest in film studies so that getting film jobs become easier for them.

However it is necessary to mention here that over the years, the definition of film jobs has changed a lot. In the past film jobs used to refer only to acting in movies but nowadays, young people are more passionate about technical jobs than showing their faces on the screen. Today, film jobs do not only mean acting in movies but making them. Directing movies, writing scripts, composing the music and operating the camera are now more popular as film jobs than acting in films. The reason why people are now more interested in technical jobs is the bigger scope of showing their talents. Working behind the camera is now much more challenging than obeying the instructions given by the director.

Success of a movie in the box office depends highly on the standards of its script. Over the years, viewers' choices for movie plots have changed. They now look for stories that are close to the reality. So, for making the stories interesting, production houses and film studios are now searching for good scriptwriters. If you have the talent of writing interesting scripts your scope of getting a job in the film industry is much more than people who stand in queues outside the film studios for screen tests and auditions. Music and photography too contribute largely to the success of movies and that's why people having the necessary talent and expertise are welcome in the film industry.

Apart from these technical jobs, there are various kinds of back office and administrative jobs in the film industry. Marketing and promotion has become essential parts of post production phase for movies. To earn revenue from theaters production houses put their best efforts for promoting their movies and often attempt for cheap publicity stunts. However, promotion of movies calls for high PR and marketing skills and that's why the film production houses are now giving more preferences to people having MBA degrees over those who attach certificates issued by film institutes with their CVs.
