Cutting Out Movies Out?

Sure, there are plenty of reasons in life that we have to merely get out of the
house and enjoy the world right? However, as it specifically pertains to movies
out, is it simply becoming too much of a hassle to go to a movie theater as
opposed to watching movies inside?

While remembering massive lines for Star Wars in downtown Ft. Lauderdale in the
seventies that wrapped around several residential blocks; my main recollection
was how ridiculous it was being involved with that situation.

It is really no different today as when any given movie that has had major
publicity and you attempt to view it, you are going to wait large amounts of
time. But specifically: is it worth scanning through movie times coupled with
movie listings, wait in potentially long lines, paying the egregious prices for
tickets and food, and perhaps not getting anything close to a good seat?

Instead, you could have a home entertainment system that views extremely well
(over 40 inch tv), assume that the new release movies are to be acquired via

dvd or movie download, and then maneuver from this point of view?

There are pretty good arguments for each but the most compelling is more for the
latter as opposed to the traditional former. With technology picking up a lot
of steam, many have the ability to download or watch via dvd quicker than ever
before.

This makes the 'wait and see' attitude of watching movies more inviting than
ever coupled with the excellent home entertainment set-ups one can get for
fairly inexpensive nowadays. Perhaps one could still argue that nothing can
compare to the big silver screen experience despite all of the downside attached
and it's ever increasing expense.

However, sentiment is slowly becoming more inclined to obtain movies with the
intention of viewing them at home on hi-tech systems that yield the consumer
more control all around.

Anyway you spin it, both styles are truly opinion based and really
individualistic but the 'at home option' is trending towards the dominant mode

to watch movies.
