Even if you have gone hi-tech and brand conscious during these years and left behind those hippie stuffs long ago, it is evident that all-natural and organic products still values a lot for people and a sure ticked item in the shopping list. Back in 2003, the Nature magazine published an article on 2000 years old "A sealed Roman pot". "Initial guesses about the function of the white cream inside ranged from toothpaste, to a pharmaceutical product, to something that was smeared on goats before they were killed. But chemists who have analysed the cream now conclude that it was probably a high-class cosmetic, with a function similar to that of modern foundations. The six-centimetre-wide canister, currently on display in the Museum of London, was discovered in July 2003 by Pre-Construct Archaeology at the site of a Roman temple complex dedicated to the god Mars Camulus. It dates from approximately 150 AD." reports the Nature. So it is justified to conclude the demand for organic products, especially cosmetics is as popular as it was long back during Roman dynasty.

Last week, one of my customers asked me a strange question. She was a bit worried about ageing skin problem. "I am a single mother of two and recently divorcee. The fact is after having two kids and getting older I know I'm not as youthful as I was during my graduating years. The idea of actually having another relationship with someone (of course, other than my ex-husband) is still an awkward and a little frightening. I have been told that I need a surgery that can make my skin more jubilant. Can this be a relatively safe procedure and will it make a real difference if and when I do zoom in to be more beautiful?" The strange thing is that even after years of research and successful implementation of various surgical methods for getting rid of ageing wrinkles other old age skin problems, people still a little bit reluctant to do so.

Cosmetics industry is full of thousands of anti-ageing products that promise a lot. But very few of us are aware the grim reality behind these products and how badly these products can harm our skins, health and the environment in greater spectrum. So it's my request to all consumers that check thoroughly (if possible consult with your dermatologist) about a specific product you want to purchase. Most of the commercially manufactured cosmetics contain deadly substances like Lead, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oil (Petrolatum and Petroleum), Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Laureth Sulphate and many more. Such chemicals in your cosmetics can cause irrecoverable damages to your skin as well as to the eco-system.

I always advise my customers to opt for organic skin care products whenever possible, because by promoting organic products you can contribute your bit for the planet and this is the best way to nourish your skin. But finding the right kind of organic cosmetics product that suits your skin is very difficult to find in the market On the other hand the product should contain right kind and blend of natural ingredients (and minimal preservatives) and should be of more traditional kind. The glossy images with mineral powders that caked and settled into my fine lines we're shown by the media hide a dangerous secret and that is nothing mere poison for our skins. Why you should buy a lipstick that can damage you lips instead of making it more soft, beautiful and sexy! Buy Organic, Be Organic and Save the Earth!
