we are shocked we were unable to hear some of the screeching from up here, really....

Harmony Hood thought they were out of the contest but were told on monday they had now made it thru to the judges houses stage of the TV talent show.
The group - made of 2 girls and two boys - were granted a reprieve after a female threesome were disqualified.
X Factor rules stipulate contestants must be sixteen or over.
Harmony Hood will now jet to Tuscany with judge Louis Walsh and five other bands later this month. He can then select his favourite 3 acts to make it through to the live finals.

The girls only band - who we've got been asked not to identify - were called to the offices of production company Talkback Thames early on Monday. Sources claimed they thought they were to going to discover who their mentor was but instead were told they were getting the boot.

An X Factor insider declared [*CO]'The girls were filmed being told they hadn't made it thru after all.
'One of them was just 15 and had lied on her form which was a heavy break of the rules.
'Although the entry age was dropped to 14 last year a decision was made this was too junior and was put back up to sixteen.

The film crew then headed up to Coventry where they broke the good news to excited Harmony Hood.

On their website, the band claimed they had been described by the X Factor team as'raw talent'. They are made up of YaniQue, Charlie, Abbee and Toke'n.
* The new series of X Factor starts on ITV1 at 7pm on Sat..
Cheryl Cole should have lots of sympathy for the next heap of X Factor wannabes - she's's about to face the judges herself.

Simon Cowell gives Cheryl the opportunity to showcase her debut solo single on the hit ITV talent contest.

The 26-year-old is still in talks with show bosses about her first public performance without the remainder of Girls out loud. But her advisers think she should go for it.

And if she's's put off by fears of facing the wrath ( and sniping ) of the judging panel she'll rest straightforward. Simon, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue all support her venture.

A source tells us [*CO]'It is a no-brainer for Cheryl to launch her solo career on the show. When she told Simon her album was due out the month after next, he stated that she must do the show. 'Girls out loud performed last year when their single Promise was in the charts.

'She is twitchy because she'll be performing for her peers - and there's always the concern that Simon may say something catty.

'It's a safe environment for her debut and they're going to want her to look outstanding.'

Cheryl herself has claimed [*CO]'I know how the contestants are feeling - especially when they are singing in front of us.
