That's what the executives at Walt Disney Co.'s ABC are exploring about The View television show. With Oprah leaving daytime television in September 2011 to focus on OWN, the cable network she is going to partneron with Discovery Communications, there is a lot of jockeying for Ophra's position going on in the land of tv which might be calling on The View television show. The View television show would be an exact fit for this time slot in daytime television. As you read through this article you can find a lot of information about The View Television Show

Syndicated is the the best way describe Ophra's Show, meaning that it is not tied to a network and instead is bought by individual television networks from all over the country. The View television show would replace Ophra's show that is carried on ABC's big-market TV networks, including KABC in Los Angeles, WABC in New York, and WLS in Chicago and numerous of ABC affiliates across the country. ABC is most interested in fulfilling the void with The View television show that Ophra's show is bound to create

The View television show has a ton of buzz surrounding it at the present time. Even though there was a ton of gossip surrounding Ellen DeGeneres and if Ellen's distributor Warner Bros. would try to move her show to ABC networks in big cities (it is watched on NBC stations in the top markets, including KNBC in L.A.) when Winfrey finally says good bye, another scenario making the rounds has ABC trying to move The View television show into Winfrey's time sections.

These different scenarios could be amazingly difficultabout The View television show for myriad reasons. First, The View television show, which shows first thing in the morning, is a station show, meaning it is only shown on ABC networks and affiliates. That would be a very hard sell. Where as a local network shows a syndicated show such as Oprah or Ellen, it gets more commercial inventory (roughly ten minutes) to sell than it could with a network show (approximately two minutes). ABC would assumably need to release additional advertising time to have The View television show to complete the deal. Another notion, not all stations carries Oprah in the early evening. In Chicago, her show shows at nine in the morning. This is a hard obstacle for the The View television show producers.

The gamble there is that General Hospital is currently showing in the afternoon forever and a move to early afternoon could extremely hurt the show, which is one of the last lingering soap shows.

ABC is also deciding whether to try to move The View television show into a syndicated show. That would mean that The View television show would be offering it to separate stations for cash and advertising inventory. ABC partners might get disgusted by the idea of losing the show to the highest buyer, even though there is a likely of much more money for ABC and parent Walt Disney Co. The favorable side of changing The View television show into a syndicated show or moving it as a network show is that early evening shows have potential to earn more money than shows that appear in the morning. The View television show has the earning power to bring in a lot of cash if it's moved.

The dangers to The View television show in the scheme of things is fairly obvious. The View television show is working at a early afternoon chat show. It averages about 4 million viewers and of those, more than one million are women twenty-five to fifty-four. Winfrey gets a more plentiful audience than The View television show and it seems not likely that The View television show could advance a massive amount more showing in the afternoon. ABC might in the end injuring The View television show prosperous franchise. If The View television show switched with General Hospital as well, it could put in danger both shows. In my humble opinion, I know The View television show is worth the risk.

In other words, look at what NBC just went through with Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien and ask yourself if the potential rewards are worth the potential screw-ups.
