Stretch marks can form on the skin through many different times in our lives. But they all form due to the same reason. This is caused by the excessive stretching of the skin, to the point that the skin cannot stretch any further thus causing small tears and breaks in the dermal layer of the skin.

When the body stops growing and the skin is able to cope up with increase in size, it will naturally repair any wounds that have been formed. When the body repairs the small tears in the skin, it does this by depositing collagen and stimulating cells regeneration. The collagen deposits are responsible for the formation of stretch marks that would likely remain for the rest of your life, unless something is done to remove them.

This wound occurred in the dermal layer of the skin which means that the scar also formed in this layer. This means that it cannot be easily reached thus conventional methods to remove this scar will not be as effective. You will need a more specialized treatment in order to reach and get rid of theses scars.

The use of removal creams may work but these mostly make the marks less visible and cannot remove them from the skin. Creams work by making the scar less visible by making it the same tone as the rest of your skin color. This way, the scar will be hidden and not easily seen unless someone closely inspects your skin.

Microdermabrasion is a better method of reaching and eliminating these scars. this is because it involves removing the outermost layer of the skin so that deeper scars may be reached more easily. Both superficial and deep scars can be removed by this method.

This method usually uses physical or chemical means to remove the outermost layer of the skin. Once the layer of skin is removed, any scar that is on this layer will of course be removed. Deeper scars on the other hand, can also be removed easily as it is already exposed on the surface.

The only drawback to this method is that it will hurt and it will remain this way for quite some time until the body can regenerate the lost skin. This will last for several weeks, but once the skin returns to normal, you will see almost no traces of your scars or stretch marks will be left behind.

So if you want a method that will definitely eliminate any traces of stretch marks from your skin, then one of the best ways to do it is by undergoing microdermabrasion. You will definitely be satisfied with the results that it will give. Just be sure that you are ready to endure some pain and always keep the affected area protected from harm.
