Wespro, brand India entered the market as a company serving middle class segment with a cheap rage of Digital Cameras and Camcorders. Its aim was to make photography for everyone. Although the price cut is no magic, the company does that by simply cutting down on features, its still lays down options for middle class segment to select from. Growing above its niche Wespro today stands for Aiptek, a global Digital Camera maker and a known brand for Pocket DV. Today it has upgraded its market in India from Wespro to Apitek. Apart from India Aiptek's offices are in Germany, Shanghai, California, Taiwan and China with a world wide customer base.

Wespro's digital camera range starts from as low as 2000 INR with 2.0 mega pixel armature cameras. This range of Wespro is better known as Polaroid's Wespro DS 5060s is a camera worth 3200 INR only. For the price, it offers some of the decent features and is a good pick for beginners. The camera includes interpolation up to 10 mega pixel, 2.5" TFT screen and supports an SD card up to 4 GB. In addition to this the camera is based on Pict Bridge technology so now you can also get your pictures printed out. Another low price good grab is Premier DC 5360s. The phone incorporates a 5.03 megapixel image sensor producing images with the resolution upto 2560x1920, 2048x1536, 1280x960, 640x480 ( Jpeg ). It also includes features like auto focus, auto exposure, Fill-In Flash, Off Flash and Red-Eye Reduction. All this at a good price of 4299 INR only. One more Wespro must-steal is Wespro PC8200. This is a 5-in-1 multi function digital still camera, digital camcorder, MP3 player, voice recorder and PC Camera interpolated to 8 Mega-pixels. All this for mere price of 3299 INR.

Apart from the cameras Wespro is also out in the market with its range of MP3 players. The range is affordable starting from 1000 INR with attributes like Fm Radio, Mp3, WMA, WAV, Digital Voice Recorder and lyrics display. The battery life is decent with a USB to connect to the PC. Most of these use AAA battery and thus can be charged independent of a PC or a laptop.

Wespro's product line under the name Aiptek includes known digital camera's namely the Mini PocketDV 8900, and the PocketDV Z100 Pro. Priced at Rs 9,995 and Rs 12,995 respectively, both models feature a digital video camera, portable media player, digital still camera, voice recorder, PC camera, and mass storage.

Overall the company thought well for the middle class and came out with some handy products. However we hope more in terms of performance as well.
