Wear a Nose Ring

In the past, a nose ring was looked down upon and the person who had one was thought to be either unintelligent or a 'problem child.' Now, though, there are very few people who have a problem with a person with a nose ring. There are jobs where you can't wear one, but that's true of lip rings and other piercings as well as tattoos, so it's not entirely surprising. Getting a nose piercing isn't that difficult, either, and even underage people can get them with their parents' permission. Most of that depends on where a person goes to get one, because there are states, counties and cities that are stricter than others. Some piercing shops also have rules that go beyond what the state, county, or city ordinance says, and while it might be legal to pierce the nose of someone who is fourteen, they might not be willing to do it, no matter whether the parent approves it or not.

The actual piercing process, however, is much like having one's ear pierced. A sharp object is used to make a small hole and the jewelry is placed in that hole. It must be taken care of very carefully until it heals and it must be turned frequently so that the skin does not adhere to it. This can be very uncomfortable and can also become infected or otherwise cause a problem. If you want to get a nose ring you should do your research on the procedure, on the shop that you're considering using, and on the risks for infection and other problems. That way you'll be prepared as much as possible and it will be the safest for you if you do decide to go through with it. If you decide that you don't like your nose ring you'll be able to take it out, and once it heals you won't have to leave it in all the time, so you'll be able to take it out when you need to (like for work) and put it back in any time you like, or change the jewelry for a different color or style.
