Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Bangalore said that during the last five years India had progressed fast and Bangalore was the best example for it. He said that the growth of Karnataka and India has impact the world in a big way. He said, "We have shown to the rest of the world that we are capable of doing anything." Congress General Secretary said that we had developed the wonderful cities and taken advantage of the opportunities.
He said that over the last five years the UPA government had shown that how fast India could move forward. The GDP of the country has grown over eight percent a year compared to the five percent growth during NDA regime. We have done exceptional job with the economy of this country. Congress General Secretary said that even his Parliamentary colleagues from BJP are amazed to see this. He further said that India grew faster because the UPA government included the concern of poor and common man in its economic policies.
Congress General Secretary said that in last five years, the UPA government had launched many programmes for common man. He said that government launched Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for the Poor and carried out loan waiver programme for the farmers.
He said that only Congress has the strategy to fight terrorism and it wasDr. Manmohan Singh who had put tremendous pressure on Pakistan after recent Mumbai terror attack.
He accused BJP on terrorism and said that during NDA's rule terrorist attacked our Parliament and killed people.
He sought the support of people to strengthen the hand of Congress, so that it can serve the common man.
