Star Plus Live is the choice of millions, when it comes to unsurpassed entertainment. The channel was initially termed as Star TV, when it was launched in 1992. At the time of its inception, it was an English Language Television channel, airing international programmes from the US, UK, and Australia. At that time, Zee TV was the channel undertaking Hindi program broadcasting. When the relationship between these two channels ended, Star Plus transformed into a Hindi channel, with Star World being its English counterpart.

Star Plus live has undergone a number of changes in the recent past. The most notable of these, is the change in its logo, from the white and blue one that still remains etched in our minds, to a ruby red one. The new logo was announced in 2010 following the Star Parivaar awards. It retains the trademark swoosh in white, but has the channel’s name written in a font that’s different from that in the previous one. Star Plus also has a new slogan, ‘Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi’, which roughly translates as ‘Same relationship, New Thinking’. The channel is broadcasted live in a number of countries across the globe, including Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Middle East, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, Mauritius, Indian Ocean, United States, and Canada.
