Tron: Legacy is a sequel to the 1982 Academy Award-nominated film Tron. Joseph Kosinski makes his feature film directorial debut with Tron: Legacy, while film director, Steven Lisberger turns producer with this film. Jeff Bridges reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, and Bruce Boxleitner his roles as Alan Bradley and Tron, while Garrett Hedlund portrays Flynn's now-adult son, Sam. The other cast members include Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen and John Hurt. At over twenty-eight years, this film marks the longest gap between a live-action film and its theatrical sequel in Hollywood history. According to the latest trailer, the film will be presented in Digital 3D, IMAX 3D and RealD 3D.
TRON: LEGACY is a 3D action-packed adventure set in a digital world unlike anything captured on the big screen previously. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), plays a mutinous 27-year-old, who is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a man famous as the world's leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the abandoned Flynn's Arcade -- that his father could have sent -- he finds himself pulled into a world where Kevin has been trapped for two decades. With the help of the fearless and valiant warrior Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning digital universe -- created by Kevin himself -- which has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons, and landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.

Tron is a 1982 American/British action science fiction film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It had Jeff Bridges as the protagonist hacker Kevin Flynn, Bruce Boxleitner as Tron, Cindy Morgan as Yori, and Dan Shor as Ram. David Warner plays all three main antagonists: the program Sark, his "user", Ed Dillinger, and the voice of the Master Control Program. Tron was written and directed by Steven Lisberger, and had a distinctive visual style, as it was one of the first films from a major studio to use extensive computer graphics.
