Elbow

The Mercury Award winning stars for their fourth album, The Seldom Kid, are set to play the O2 Arena on the 28th of March for what promises to be one of the highlight gigs of 2011, as the Manchester rockers bring their soulful sound to the famous London landmark. Elbow have established themselves as one of the finest live bands in the business, well known for their incredible stage craft and the widely applauded sound quality of their live performances.

The Graphic Art Fair

The graphic art fair at Somerset House this spring gives you the chance to browse and buy from some of the best contemporary graphic artists around. Somerset House plays host to the Pick Me Up art fair in 2011 as a veritable plethora of exciting graphic artists bring their wares to the grand venue to show and sell. Coupled with some excellent arty events, the contemporary graphic art fair is set to be one of the highlights of the season.


A highlight of the Pick Me Up at Somerset House is certain to be the Pick Me Up exhibition which includes several different graphic artists and their work. Some of the very best up and coming international designers and illustrators are taking part, and they have all been commissioned by Somerset House to produce a limited edition print especially for the fair. Got to Dance Live

Got to Dance Live will be at the ExCEl London from the 4th to the 6th of March where the reality hit TV show judges Ashley Banjo, Adam Garcia and Kimberly Wyatt will all be in attendance every day.

The Got to Dance Live showcase will enable dance fans, dancers and anyone interested in the finest new moves to join like minded people at one of the biggest dance events the capital has ever seen and there will also be a whole host of activities and events for visitors to get involved in, all based around contemporary dance



Modern British Sculpture Exhibition

The Royal Academy hosts a Modern British Sculpture exhibition London event during 2011 which highlights the vast range and scope of 20th century British sculptors. Bringing together several key works from artists such as Jacob Epstein, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Damien Hirst, the exhibition is the first such show to take place in London for over 30 years.

Dividing the Modern British Sculpture exhibition into two, the show also highlights the ever present issue for all sculptors of whether to create a figurative or an abstract piece of work. Pointing out the tension between the two styles and comparing various artists that exemplify one style or the other, the exhibition shows the striking juxtapositions of works that both bear commemorative and political functions, but are hugely dissimilar in style.
