Still sexy after all these years, we've got tips on what mascara Carrie was using in SATC 2 and how to get her eye makeup look from the movie!

Currently tops at the box office, the girls from Sex and the City are back and proving they can still influence women more than a decade after they first hit the airwaves. Back then, all we wanted to know was who made Carrie's shoes and how much did that dress cost. Now it seems we're more interested in things we can recreate in our own mirrors.

According to Google, many women are searching for clues on how to get the makeup looks the girls showed off in the movie. We want to know what mascara Carrie was using in SATC 2 and how to get the look at home.

While we'd be hard pressed to ask the girls themselves (or the makeup artists who styled them on set), here's what we think we'd find if we'd been flies on the wall in the dressing room!

If you notice, the emphasis on Carrie's makeup is always on the eyes. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is blessed to have the kind of striking grey-blue eyes that draw the eye into them, regardless of what makeup she wears. But eyes like that make it all the more fun for applying makeup!

On the set of the original SATC movie, makeup artist Judy Chin said she fashioned Carrie Bradshaw as a natural beauty.

'I tried to keep her eyes the focus by creating a strong, yet natural, lash line and I always framed her eyes with beautiful lashes,' Chin was quoted as saying. 'A healthy rosy flush to her cheeks, a soft mouth and clean healthy skin that had a natural glow and shine to it.'

In the new film, the emphasis seems to be more on style where Carrie's makeup was concerned. In posters, Carrie is seen wearing a smoky eye look with nude or bone shadow topped off with a dove grey. Eyeliner is either a deep grey or black and topped with mascara on both the upper and lower lids.

If you want to get this look at home, apply a highlighter just above your cheekbones. Then, layer on the nude-and-grey eye shadow palette for that misty look. Curl lashes and work the dark pencil into your lash line, smudging to continue the smoky effect. Finish with a volumizing mascara.
